The Child Care Subsidy is the main way the Australian Government helps families with the cost of approved early childhood education and care. For many families it covers the majority of the daily fee.
What determines your subsidy
Your subsidy percentage is based on your family income, and the number of subsidised hours on your recognised activity. Most families receive a substantial reduction on the daily fee.
How to claim
You claim CCS through Services Australia (via myGov). Once approved, the subsidy is paid directly to your provider and reduces your fees automatically.
